Christ King Convent English Medium Lower Primary School (CKCEMLPS) was established in June 1996 with pre-primary and Standard I classes, starting with 250 students under the guidance of Mother Superior Sr. Viola and Headmistress Sr. Saina. Guided by the motto “Dedication to Excellence,” the school has maintained high standards of education and growth ever since.
We follow the CBSE syllabus and offer classes from Kindergarten to Grade IV. Our eco-friendly campus provides a nurturing environment where young learners can thrive.
The Kindergarten section fosters joyful and child-friendly learning, while the primary level focuses on holistic development through academics and a wide range of extracurricular activities. This balanced approach ensures that our students grow intellectually, creatively and physically.
Rooted in values and guided by vision,
we nurture young minds for holistic, righteous, and global growth.
The visionary inspiration of Mother Eliswa, in responding to the needs of the times, is still pursued with unflagging spirit by CTC sisters and teachers. We aim to form leaders who are intellectually competent, spiritually mature, morally upright, physiologically integrated, physically healthy and socially acceptable; leaders who will champion the cause of justice, love, truth and peace and who are ever open to further growth.
To bring forth successful global citizens; spiritually upright and proud of their rich heritage; empowered with the virtues of righteousness; and to stimulate creativity and innovation; inculcate awareness of the socio-cultural needs of the community.
We follow the CBSE syllabus. Our aim is quality all round development of our children.
We maintain a good infra-structure taking into consideration the needs of our students.
CKCEMLPS is managed by the Congregation of Teresian Carmelites St. Joseph Province.
Mother Eliswa, the foundress of the Congregation of Teresian Carmelites, is revered as the mother of all consecrated women in Kerala. A visionary and reformer of the 19th century, she made a lasting impact on the religious, social, and educational life of women in Kerala.
In today’s chaotic and consumerist world, Mother Eliswa remains a powerful presence. She championed values like love, tolerance, mutual understanding, and generosity, and worked tirelessly to uplift women’s educational, cultural, and vocational status. By donating her own property, she laid the foundation for institutions that continue to empower women.
Driven by a desire to end illiteracy among girls, she founded Kerala’s first girls' school, along with boarding houses and orphanages for poor and neglected children — initiatives that have since grown into esteemed institutions.
